Predicting the future is a risky endeavour but almost all our lives depend on forward expectations and hope.
My predictions series stem from the 2020 SARs COVID of 2020 and this is the 4th year of my annual predictions. My family and I travelled to over 20 countries in the past 14 months and there are some common trends across geographies, while others are localised.

A selective list for 2024 is:
- Nett new startups will decline for the first time in decades
- VC winter will continue in 2024, however Angel investments will rise.
- The US and UK elections will witness unprecedented chaos and potentially unrest in couple of major cities.
- BackPack and cheaper travel industry will see continue to witness unprecedented growth globally.
- One or Two global hospitality brands will either merge with a rival or go bankrupt.
- Urban poverty will continue to rise.
- Mortgage defaults at their highest in the UK. Expect Bank of England intervention to manage challenges.
- India is likely to cross the $4 trillion GDP
- One of the most capitalised company in the world will see a shock decline of over 40%
- Artificial Intelligence based consumer services will start to establish themselves as frontrunner. One or two startups will show signs of becoming an everyday utility in G20 countries.
- Deep Fake and Fake News will continue to rise.
- Crypto market will remain unstable, unlikely to return to 2021 high.
