On the train between Hampshire and London, sat with three enthusiastic ladies – two of them about half my age and the other Just a little senior possibly – all three of them typing away on their Apple AirMac – servicing customers, managing business. What a far cry since the days I started one of the first internet access company in South Asia serving population size over 1 billion people in 1995.

The funny thing is the older of the three was teaching the youngest how to connect to the free Wi-fi provided by the train company that is transporting us.

Focus on customers means complimentary internet access is becoming common across the world almost as I had predicted in 1999 in Geneva.

Funniest of all things is – I am working on my mobile instead and not the laptop 🙂

By 2030 people should stop carrying the laptop completely and any surface in front of them should be able to project the data and apps they need – directly from the cloud over high speed internet.

Onwards / Upwards!
